🎧 Listening to Badass Big Grlll 👑
Good Caturday Morning! I'm playing my girl Lizzo on Spotify, as though I need any reason other than she's fab, to earn extra entries in a contest to win tix to her concert. You know how it works. If you click on the link and enter, I'll get bonus entries. Did I mention her show in Toronto will be the night before my birthday? What a pressie that would be!
A PSA before we move on with the Caturday shenanigans: I try not to present anything as my own content on this blog unless it is, so links are embeded in text or pix and if you don't see any specific credit, click through to see where it came from. No copyright infringement is ever intended. If I've used something of yours and you want specific credit or have it removed, please contact me by going to the bottom of the page and sending me an email with the details.
Anyone who has witnessed the zoomies knows it's an event filled with potential dangers and our friend Pixi, the Catit Office Cat, is paying a terrible price and required surgery. She tore tendons, including her Achille's, but thankfully is on the mend. Without doubt she will be pampered by the staff.
This reminded me of one of my earliest memories of watching a video on Sesame Street - little girls with kittens moving through a dollhouse. It was filled with cheesy music, the innocence of delightful giggles, and feline destruction. I'll have to try to track it down.
One of the best things to show up in my email every day is The Daily Purr newsletter. It's run by three people, provided at no charge, and relies on sponsors and tips from readers for funding. It's a fun read and I look forward to it every day. That's where I saw following and it went down well with morning coffee.
Cinema Plays 75 Minutes of Cat Videos for Fundraiser The Sudbury Indie Cinema in Ontario, Canada hosted an amazing cat themed film festival called CatVideoFest2022 in August. The festival featured 75 minutes of funny fan-submitted cat videos meant to give cat lovers a feline-tastic experience. A portion of ticket sales went to a local animal shelter, Small Things Cat.
Small Things Cat displayed photos of some of the cats they had up for adoption at the event, and festival attendees were able to directly donate to the cause. CatVideoFest is actually an international event that helps cat rescues and charities raise funds through local showings of the festival. If you’re interested, click here to see if CatVideoFest is coming to your area this year. |
