Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Are you excited? The release is less than two weeks away. Like many others, I have mixed feelings about going to see the movie because it's one of those that needs to be seen on the big screen and there's no way the feels aren't going to wring me into an emotional mess. The official trailer brought chills and built anticipation for the already highly anticipated film.

After the untimely tragic death of Chadwick Boseman, it seemed recasting the role of T'Challa would be the only option to carry the story forward, but it appears that wasn't the case. It would have been incredibly difficult for any actor to take on the part in light of how beloved Boseman remains in the hearts of fans. It seems the powers-that-be made a good choice. I can only imagine how challenging it must have been for all who worked on this movie -- especially those who called the late actor friend -- and hopefully fans are willing to go all in as tribute to both the man who led the cast and crew of the first movie to historic highs and as a thank you for the work of the remaining Black Panther family.

Early last week, a collaboration was announced between Canadian sunglasses company Bohten and Marvel Studios in advance of the movie's release.

Toronto and GTA customers and fans will have the opportunity to go to two trunk show events that Bohten is hosting in Canada at Nordstrom's Yorkdale and Eaton Center outlets from November 4th to 6th and November 18th to 20th, respectively. Part of the promo is a contest with 15 winners. The prizes are a movie themed prize pack + $1000, $500 or $200 worth of Bohten merchandise. Enter here.

Rhianna joined the Black Panther universe last week with her musical contribution "Lift Me Up." Her first release in six years, it's both a stand-alone hit in the making and a stunning addition to what promises to be a memorable soundtrack, evoking the spirit of Wakanda Forever perfectly. The song punches through the gut and reaches into the emotion places in the way only Riri's haunting vocals can. Gahh, pass the tissues please, I'm going to ugly cry.
