The Scottish people are turning out in droves to pay their final respects to Queen Elizabeth II in advance of the service of thanksgiving at St. Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh today. So many have lined the Royal Mile that police are stopping any further access due to lack of standing room. Somber and undeniably watchable for any Anglophile. The history and architecture nerd inside me is enthralled.
I've been watching ITVs coverage on Twitter, and they just aired a lovely piece on how Scots held a special place in their hearts for QEII, and she for them. While I was searching for a clip, I came across the excellent 2018 doc with David Attenborough: The Queen's Green Planet - well worth a watch.
